Lucy Navarrete | The Hiker Podcast

This week I am so excited to talk with hiker, baker, & small business owner Lucy Navarrete. Lucy Navarrete, 27, is a baker & small business owner in Big Bear Lake, Ca. When she isn’t busy making cakes, she uses any chance she gets to get outside with her dogs, Oli and Xena. Lucy started hiking only about a year and a half ago after a hard break-up. The day she made one of the hardest decisions of her life, she went on a hike and has continued to hike regularly since then; she even joined and recently completed the @52hikechallenge which challenges you to hike every single week for a whole year. Lucy strongly believes the outdoors is a form of natural therapy that helps you get through the toughest times in your life; heartbreak, grief, and depression. Hiking has also helped her love herself and the body that can take her to the top of humongous mountains. Lucy has set a new goal for herself for next year to hike at least 6 Southern California peaks. She hopes to continue to use Mother Nature as a form of soul cleansing and to inspire other people to do the same.
