Paolo Zerbini is born in Mantova, Italy but moves to the UK aged 20 to study photography. Starts assisting in London shortly after and begins his career as a photographer in the UK. His personal work is often inspired by childhood memories and characterized by warm tones and an instinctive approach to shooting. In 2018 together with friend Ivan Ruberto, Paolo started Bellissimo, a photographic concept project masked as a magazine. Paolo has previously self published two books independently distributed world wide. Paolo now lives between Milan and London. We talk about his start in photography, how boredom and brutal feedback are important for self improvement and of course about Bellissimo Magazine's philosophy. ____________________________________ #ArcadeStudioPodcast is a podcast by Andrea & René Olivo 🔴 SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/ASPsubscribe 📱@arcadestudiomilano https://www.instagram.com/arcadestudiomilano/ ____________________________________ Follow Paolo's work here 📱Paolo Zerbini: https://www.instagram.com/paolozerbini 📱Bellissimo mag: https://www.instagram.com/bellissimo_zine 📕Tagadà: https://www.skinnerboox.com/books/tagada ____________________________________ 00:00 - Intro 00:55 - Paolo Zerbini - Photography style and background 07:59 - Brutal Advice for Photographers 10:13 - Irony and humour are dead in fashion photography 17:19 - Depression and boredom 20:26 - From selling insurance to writing a children's story 27:47 - Bellissimo Magazine 35:35 - Copywriting, humour and censorship 44:03 - Provoking without making fun 55:00 - Tagadà - coming of age at fun fairs 01:07:10 - Paolo's Work (links below) 01:08:14 - Credits ____________________________________ Find us on: 🟢 SPOTIFY: http://bit.ly/ASPspotify 🔵 FACEBOOK: https://bit.ly/ArcadeFB 🟡 SPREAKER http://bit.ly/ArcadeSpreaker 🟣 APPLE PODCASTS: http://bit.ly/ArcadeApple ____________________________________ 🌐 OFFICIAL WEBSITE: https://bit.ly/ArcadeStudioPodcastOfficial
