In this special edition of the Architecture Made Simple, Tim and Andy offer a simple audio guide to “This Too Will Pass”. Tim Scrace’s latest sculpture encourages passers-by to reflect on the past, present and future of the city. Listen to this podcast as a walk through experience with the artist. Commissioned by Salisbury BID, with funding from Arts Council England, the sculpture was created to mimic pilgrimage, the movement of people to and from the cathedral. The passing of time and memory. The process of reflection, mindfulness and vision represented in snapshots of the past, present and future. Viewers pass along the same path as their ancestors and are encouraged to stop and recognise this. #TTWP will remain in place on Salisbury High Street throughout the summer 2021. Tim will collaborate with students from Wiltshire College who will be on hand during weekends from 11-2 in June to encourage the public to interact with the work and respond to the questions using chalk.
