Tekna is a Canadian-based advanced materials company with a unique plasma technology for several independent markets, few competitors and high barriers to entry. The company serves industries like aerospace, defense and medical with plasma machines or advanced materials like powder for 3D printing. The company is going under the radar of the Norwegian market with Arctic among the very, very few following Tekna very closely. While the timing of a breakthrough in certain segments is uncertain, we find the stock attractive due to a unique technology, few competitors, high degree of recurring revenues and an order backlog up 60 per cent since last year.
