She has published several non-fiction books, including The Lives of the Muses, as well as several novels, essays, and short-stories. She has also contributed works to major publications such as The New York Times and The New Yorker. Her novel Blue Angel was a finalist for the National Book award, and her novel A Changed Man, won the Dayton Literary Peace Prize.
