Entire workforces have been transitioned to work from home. Companies are also looking to leverage technology to fill the gaps left by a reduced workforce. What are the challenges that manufacturing plants and industrial operations are struggling with in today’s post-Covid19 world? Russ: Our target market has historically faced 3 primary challenges within the frontline workforce: 1) the widening skills gap, which is being magnified by an aging/retiring workforce and tight labor market; 2) loss of tribal knowledge (from senior workers), and inability to capture and share that tribal knowledge as a corporate asset; and 3) inability to deliver continuous improvement across the workforce due to lack of insight into how workers are performing their jobs. [04:21] How manufacturing leverages technologies like AI & VR to assist employees while accommodating social distancing. [05:22] Augmentir recently launched a new offering on the Microsoft Azure marketplace, called Augmentir. Tell us about it and how it addresses some of the challenges we just discussed. [06:17] How would a manufacturing facility use your solution with Azure? [08:32] How can customers find out more about Augmentir, and procure it through the Azure Marketplace? [11:35] Do you have any parting words of wisdom that you’d like to share with the audience? [12:00] After COVID, we’re going to have to adapt to the “new normal” by investing in digital technologies that enable us to observe social distancing. [13:05] The final frontier of digital transformation is the front-line workforce. #AskTheCEO with Russ Fadel
