RECOGNIZING SIGNS OF AUTISM IN BABIES AND CHILDREN [HOW-TO]

24 May 2021

Description

DISCLAIMER: I am no medical doctor, I'm just your normal Jo Bloggs who's sharing her lived experiences with Autism that was called Aspergers. If you see any warning signs/symptoms that may be related to any of the topics I share as of in the future, please seek a second opinion or treatment with a  medical professional. What I share with you in how I go about managing my autism will vary from person to person and that what may work for me, may not work for you and what will work for you may not work for me and vice versa. So, please be considerate while I give you all my advice and/or tips. Autism is a spectrum disability, meaning that there are many different ways your child may manifest, or show, signs of autism across a wide spectrum of behaviors. The autistic child experiences disordered brain development that is typically demonstrated through difficulties or differences in intellectual ability, social interaction, nonverbal and verbal communication, and stimming (self-stimulation, such as repetitive movements). Although every autistic child is unique, it is essential to recognize the signs and symptoms as early as possible to secure early intervention services to help you and your child live life to the fullest possible. If you find any of the signs recognizable and that you suspect that your child does have autism, now is the time and chance for you to take them to a specialist. The earlier the better for prevention of anything else that may arise later on in their life. Living with autism for many of us is difficult at any stage and age of our lives. As we feel that we are just aliens to others around us.  I discussed four methods in this and they were as follows:  1: Recognizing Social differences,  2: Watching for any communication difficulties and/or delays, 3: Identifying repetitive behaviors 4: accessing autism across the ages. *ABOUT ME* Hello, I'm Aspie Answers from NZ.I have Aspergers Syndrome that is now clinically known in the DSM5 Manual of Diagnostics as Autism.  I make videos as an advocate on autism and mental health from the perspective of an autistic adult.
