I have with me canine behaviour consultant and educator Sindhoor Pangal whose journey into the canine world is nothing short of incredible. Sindhoor is a strong proponent of humans spending a great deal of time and energy in understanding dogs and doing our homework especially prior to adopting them. In doing so she breaks many of the myths and assumptions that people make about dogs, cites some of the most significant challenges faced in our relationships with them and throws light on some of the most remarkable traits of Indian street dogs that most of us are scarcely aware of.
