Chilla and Katie join in to bring us this week’s tech news for AwesomeCast 351, including: Katie is sharing her Awesome Thing of the Week – and it involves candy and soda. Did someone say bacon? Chilla checked out Uber EATS and is sharing some thoughts. (And, Chilla gave a shout out to Pub Chip Shop thanks to his Uber EATS trial.) With WWDC 2017 earlier today, we’re sharing some of the news and updates on tonight’s show. Apple has a new Mac coming out and Sorg is sharing some thoughts. Did someone say 4K iMac? Comparing Mac and PC is like comparing…well…Apple and oranges. Chilla and Sorg are sharing some iOS development options following WWDC 2017. We’ve got a big update ahead with Apple, and it may affect some of your apps. We’re talking some AR news following WWDC 2017 announcements. Katie can’t wait for iOS 11 to fix her storage and battery drain issues. Battery saver mode – who uses it? QR codes are finally being integrated into your device. Chilla lives in the future with his Awesome Things of the Week following WWDC 2017. Built-in device screen recording is now a thing without an external device. NFC reader is being made available to developers. Apps will autodelete but keep your data if an app is inactive for an extended period. Business chat starts an instant chat with a business or developer. (Chilla is thinking Uber applications.) You can type to Siri instead of having to speak your request. Quick type allows input of symbols without requiring you to go into a different keyboard mode. iPad will have a drag and drop feature (finally). Price comparison between iPad Pro and Macbook pretty much comes down to what you’re using it for. iMessage will have an Apple Pay feature – not to be confused with Apple Cash card. Sorg is living in a parody – or so he feels following WWDC 2017. Home Pod is giving Chilla some thoughts about home automation. Home Pod v. Amazon Echo will be the new Battle Bots for geeks. Streaming multiple songs at different locations via airplay? Will we be seeing multi-user options for devices? Katie is sharing a VR porn story.
