There is only one distillery in Australia that has received the accolades of Worlds Best Whisky, and that is Sullivan’s Cove. This week we talk to Ally Bhana who has been with Sullivan’s Cove for a few years now and has worked at the cellar door and has now made her way up to management. We find out Ally’s journey in the world of whisky so far and what she has on the go currently. Of course we talk about Sullivan’s Cove and the production processes they employ, the core range and their differences and of course what to watch out for. Ally also takes us through the plans for the new distillery in the heart of Hobart, which sounds very exciting. We do touch on the sales strategies that are employed and Ally explains that there is an algorithm for when you go in the ballot for a bottle that the more you miss out the more likely you are to be successful in the future. It is as fair as they can make it, so don’t listen to the haters. Anyway we hope you can sit and listen with a dram in a comfortable chair, but of course you can listen almost anywhere, wherever you listen we trust you will enjoy the Banter over Whisky. If you have any feedback, ideas or questions for the Banter crew please feel free to contact us on Instagram, Facebook or email [email protected] Or chase up one of the crew with Adrian @that_whisky_place, Brad @banter_over_whisky, John @whisky_and_sound, Mick @73mick, VIC @vic.whiskey and Wes @bearded_distiller.
