I believe so deeply that if you cannot forgive yourself, you cannot move on with a life filled with purpose, determination, and even some joy. In fact, not only is it not a selfish act to forgive yourself first, but it is a selfless act because it frees you up to help not only yourself, but those in your life and then who knows where that leads.
