Chapter 1: What were Kristian Campbell's challenges during last year's spring training?
Yeah, there should be some passion. This doesn't have to be boring. You don't get bored by baseball. Okay, one thing the game needs is more people like you. Still have grown men run around tight hands. This is Mookie Betts. This is Daniel Bard.
This is Steve Aoki.
This is Saltz Lamacchia. This is Brock Holtz. Hey, this is John Lester. Baseball isn't boring. Baseball isn't boring. Welcome to Baseball Isn't Boring. Here's your host, Rob Radford. Guess what? There's no human being in the planet I'd rather be talking to more than Christian Campbell. Again.
How are you?
Doesn't it make your day? It brings a smile to your face.
Yeah, for sure, for sure. I'm happy to be out here. You know, it's a beautiful day out here at Fort Myers. It's another day of baseball, so nothing I'd rather be doing right now.
That's awesome. Yeah. Are you having, so if you go back a year ago, here's a test for you. a year ago, how you feel right now in terms of having fun playing the game of baseball? Because last year, everything probably was a whirlwind. There was probably some anxiety. And now you're like, okay, I know how this works. Are you having more fun now?
Yeah, a lot more fun than last year, for sure. Last year was really tough. Looking back on it, for sure, I was definitely nervous. I was going through it a little bit in spring, just through negotiations and just Yeah, that's another thing, right? Yeah, learning people, learning my new teammates and stuff through spring.
Yeah, just kind of walking into a whole new locker room and, you know, having the whole negotiation going on and everything. It was a lot going on at once, and maybe that anxiety definitely showed up a little bit. More than normal, for sure, because I never really experienced anything like that. So, yeah.

Chapter 2: How has Kristian Campbell's experience changed over the past year?
Yeah.
And I could tell that you were. Yeah.
It was, I want to say it was honestly going on around that time too. Yeah. At last been Fan Fest. Yeah. Yeah. Around that time also. So where was it when you, by the time you get to Fort Myers, was it already...
It wasn't already set. We were still going back and forth. No, I know, but it wasn't where you, like, by then you had the talks had already started.
Oh, yeah.
You knew that was part of the equation.
Yeah, exactly. Yeah, yeah. It was a part of the equation for sure. We were talking about it, and we wanted something to work out on both sides, so we just kept going back and forth and everything. My agent obviously did all the talking and stuff.
But still, he's updating you.
Do you want to be updated? Like a lot of guys don't. Yeah, because I didn't really understand the process of that. I never really had that in mind because when I was playing, when I played the game of baseball, I wasn't thinking contract, extension, anything. You know, I was young.

But it was it was it was they handed it well and they let me they Let me know everything they were thinking, and I let them know what I was thinking. Chapter 4: How does Kristian Campbell feel about his confidence going into this spring training?
And he looks up to me, so I always try to be my best aesthetic because it's a good example.
