That's why this is so good. Because I know you. And I know what you've been through. And I know all the stuff. And I'm watching you do this. And you're just shining. Yeah, the first time I ever met you, I was about to go up on stage at the Laugh Factory and you wandered in from a day of day drinking. Yes.
And I thought it was a bit. I thought it was a bit. You were red-faced and hammered. Yeah. And you got up on stage and crushed it. And I was just like, I'd never seen anything like that before. I think I tried to get you to take your shirt off on stage that night.
You know, did you really? I don't know. You know, I was so petrified because I'm a little late to the game with stand up. Yeah. Really quickly, I'll tell you the actual first time because you're not going to believe that this happened to me. But I have witnesses. In fact, it's documented at Just for Laughs. And I've never looked at it because it was so terrifying.
My agent, about 15 years ago, my agent at the time said, hey, got a great gig for you. And I'm like, yeah, let's go. Host Just for Laughs. I was like, you know, we don't know. You're an actor. You don't know really what that is. Oh, okay. You do a little research. Oh, I don't do stand-up. Oh, you're going to be fine. You're going to crush it. Okay. You trust your agent. You get there.
I went there with Callan, you know, who backed me up. Yeah.
