My mom let me get the Wall Street Journal to study the pricing tables. At 21, I purchased my first rental property—I remember excusing myself from my FINN 4133 Advanced Investments class to make the bid-winning call.   In 2010, I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a B.S.B.A. in Finance; I began working for Northwestern Mutual. In 2012, I qualified for Million Dollar Round Table for the first time, an exclusive association representing the top 1% of the industry. A year later, I earned my Certified Financial Planner™ designation.   The following two years were a critical period of disappointing discovery (despite earning two more industry designations)… I came to realize that my personal investment strategy was incongruent with what I was supposed to, or even allowed to, recommend.
