Better Than I Found It

233 | Michael Kim

06 Jan 2025

Description

Joining Better Than I Found It today is Michael Kim, former player for Cal and current member of the PGA tour. Michael and I spoke as he was preparing for this week's Sony Open in Honolulu, Hawaii. We discussed his collegiate career at Cal, especially his team's 2012-2013 season when Michael received the Jack Nicklaus Award and the Fred Haskins Award. These awards are given out by the GCAA (Golf Coaches Association of America) and the Haskins Commission, respectively, to the best college golf player that year. Later, we discuss his professional career and the ups and downs that came with it, including his lone tour victory in the 2018 John Deere Classic. Michael describes the struggles his career has faced, but also how he has persevered and risen above them. Thank you so much for joining the podcast Michael!
