18 Nov 2020

Description

These seven steps on how to do the Daniel fast are simple – this is going to be fun! Here's how to do the Daniel Fast to achieve more physical and spiritual success! How to Do the Daniel Fast Here are the steps to do the Daniel Fast, so you can achieve success with it. 1. Make up your mind. Our mind determines our actions, so when you make up your mind and tell yourself, "I'm going to fast", then your mind is like, "Okay, I'm going to help you." Daniel made up his mind. Go back and read Daniel chapter one and you're going, just see right there and right there in the scripture how Daniel decided he was not going to eat the King's delicacies. This is one of my favorite Daniel fast scripture readings because it is a fun story to read. And as you read about Daniel and his friends, the scripture explains how they were much healthier than the other Hebrew teenagers. And from this form of fasting, following and eating God's foods declared good for you and not the foods altered by man. Daniel's health was a testimony to God's provision. And when we fast for physical wellbeing, God will touch our bodies and enrich our souls We've given you the Daniel fast recipes, we've given you the Daniel fast grocery list, we've given you so much to help you do this, but you will be a lot more successful if you take the first step. And that is make up your mind. 2. Make a commitment to Do The Daniel Fast. Now we have in the back of this book and you could really, you could just design your own, but we've designed one in the back of the book. It's the Daniel fast commitment. You could use this one, but what you need to do is you need to make a commitment that you're going to do the fast. You need to determine in your heart and your mind that you're going to do the Daniel fast. You need to set a date. 3. Make a plan. Now make a plan and so we really want to be careful how many rules we put on our fast. We just want to keep it simple. Remember, we don't want the rules of a fast to overrule the experience. And that's so important because some people are all are so detail-oriented. Make a plan and stick to it and then let God do the blessings. Whatever food plan you choose to follow, just make sure you stick to it. 4. Make time for prayer and meditation. We need to hear from God and we need to make this time extremely special. Set aside time for a Daniel fast prayer, and you can use your app on your phone or your calendar, or your reminder app. Sometimes we're too busy, so you need an app that says, Hey, it's time to pray. 5. Make healthy foods a delight. A fun way to do the Daniel fast is with your family. I have a video on it, which can offer you a sense of delight and a sense of childlike faith. Like I'm going to have fun with this. I'm going to experience new foods and I'm going to love it. 6. Make preparations. It's a lot easier to do this fast if you do some meal prepping ahead of time. So you need a Daniel fast menu and a list of Daniel fast recipes to get you going. Get your Daniel fast grocery list going and use it to guide you on what to buy at the store and what not to buy. In my Healthy Treasures Cookbook, you can find several Daniel fast recipes there that you can prepare to help you know what to cook and prepare each day. 7. Make praises. Praise the Lord for what he's going to do when you wake up in the morning. When you start your day with praise, when you end your day with praise, you are going to experience such a closeness with the Lord that you weren't expecting. I hope you've learned a lot from this episode, and I look forward to sharing more tips on how to do the Daniel fast to help you out.
