Josephine Kalies studied dance at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. Since graduating in 2019, she has been working as a freelance performer in the independent scene in NRW. She works with artists such as Marie-Lena Kaiser, tatraum projekte schmidt, Silvia Ehnis, Sônia Mota and Isabelle Wenzel. She also realises projects within the framework of the Stadtbesetzung and is involved with the socio-cultural association Kabawil in Düsseldorf. In her further artistic practice, she is primarily concerned with feminist approaches in dance.
