It was so dynamic athletically that he was able to do that in midseason. So I don't think that John Harbaugh would ever say anything like that.
I mean, he said stuff, though, that's very, very positive about winning and everything else.
But it's how Aaron says it, and this is how Aaron has gotten himself into a little bit of a... situation with the fan base and the media, and he's very confident. He believes that Gino can get it done. He's also putting a lot, I believe, on my buddy Frank. Yeah. And there are a lot of expectations with that part of the coaching staff right now, and rightfully so. That's what Frank signed up for.
So I would... I wish I could just say to Aaron, you don't have to be so blustery. You could be confident. You just don't have to be so in everybody's face with some of these ridiculous statements.
So if you missed it and you're a little bit confused, obviously you can put two and two together. Aaron Glenn yesterday says that Geno Smith is the quarterback that's going to take them to the, quote, promised land. Now, part of this, too, is Aaron Glenn's just talking. He's just out there. He's with reporters. He's just talking. It's not after a game.
And he says something like that that he probably doesn't even think twice about. But where the Jets are, how bad they've been, because they are a butt of jokes, something like that, because Geno Smith coming back is also something that the rest of the league will laugh at, even though we know this is a different Geno and we don't hate the move at all.
I actually think that he could do pretty well under the circumstances here, but people are going to laugh at it. So what he needs to do, Brian Dable did some good things here, he did some bad things here. One thing Brian Dable did was never make a headline with his mouth. Not one time. He was boring. He never said anything.

Right. That's the thing. That's the thing that I saw on social media yesterday after this came out was basically – Jet fans just going crazy over this. And you're right. It doesn't mean anything. And the games end up, you know, you end up losing that game.
But I would just, I would say that Gino would appreciate it. There's no question about it. But it also, unfortunately, adds to the resume of what Aaron Glenn has built here over the last year.
Yeah, I mean, and the promised land means one thing. That's it. That's a Super Bowl championship. So it's basically saying Geno Smith's going to bring us a Super Bowl.
And a lot of people would say that the Jets are one of either two or three teams that are probably farther away from a Super Bowl championship than everybody else.
Yeah, I think the FanDuel Sportsbook odds had them at third place. Highest odds to go. Cardinals, them. I think the Dolphins were actually worse. Yeah. So, yeah. I mean, it's just totally unnecessary. I don't know if he's ever going to learn. But when you say he's not going to change his personality, he doesn't need to change his personality to avoid things like this.
He could be Aaron Glenn everywhere, but in front of the media that is going to put stuff like this out and then the fan base is going to laugh at. He picked a fight with those beat writers last year for no reason. None whatsoever.
I think what he was trying to do and what most coaches try to do when they come here for the first time, whether it be... A giant head coach or a jet head coach, especially when there is a coach coming in that doesn't have experience as a head coach and talking to the media on a daily basis.
