Chapter 1: What happened during the Knicks game against the Thunder?

0.031 - 20.822

So, yeah, you got the big third quarter for the Knicks to wipe out what was a big deficit at home against the Thunder. A bit of a back and forth. Fourth quarter, Thunder were up seven with a little over a minute to go. But the Knicks at least put themselves in position for this on the game's final possession, trailing by three. Six seconds left. Inbound to Brunson. Gets a look.

0

20.842 - 41.579

Rebound tipped out to Ananobi. He got it off in time. And the Thunder hang on. The Knicks had two open looks and a chance to knock out the defending champs, but their three-game win streak will come to an end. That's Tyler Murray on MSG. It actually only would have forced OT, but still a chance to win the game, not to be, or to keep the game going, I should say.

41.599 - 67.465

103-100 was the final, so ultimately it did come down to those final two attempts, but for Mike Brown, it went beyond that. Them shooting 84% from the Free throw line compared to ours, 73% was a factor throughout the course of the game. And then, you know, I thought we had good looks from the three-point line. They didn't go in. 10 of 35 from long range were the Knicks last night.

67.485 - 85.875

There were also the discrepancies with the officials, the foul calls, the non-foul calls. Specifically in the first quarter, I know you guys talked about it, SGA already had two fouls. He knocks over a positioned Jalen Brunson. It looked like a charge. There's no call. And that led to Brown's first technical of the season. Jalen was there and he ran him over.

0

86.456 - 109.397

Just like the call that they made on OG. You know, I mean, I don't know. I don't understand why that was a no-call, but that should have been his third. The bucket shouldn't have counted. He was all over the official there, especially when they came back down the other end of the sequence of that play. I actually do like it. I like a little bit of intensity from the coach.

110.579 - 114.126

Everybody says he's a player's coach. He's a friend of the players and everything.

Chapter 2: Why did the Knicks struggle with their three-point shooting?

114.106 - 131.926

You don't really see this intensity, or we haven't seen this, or at least I haven't. Well, he's also gone out of his way to speak privately and publicly to the team about toning it down, complaining about the officials. Okay. So he goes to bat there for them when he felt it was an egregious miscall. And he had every right to do that. Yes, absolutely. Which is fine. I'm good with that, man.

0

132.687 - 157.123

If the coach has intensity, the players will have it. There you go. When it's needed, right? Yeah. Other end of the floor as well with the reigning league MVPs. SGA, he's a tough cover, and he does a great job of convincing the referees, probably better than anybody in the league, that he's getting hit. And you've got CBS Sports Network showing the play where Towns fouled out late in the game.

0

157.103 - 176.867

What I would give for this to be a final and the amount of bitching and complaining that SGA is going to receive from the New York Knicks fans, oh my God, it would be amazing. Yeah, and then we could check out everything they'd be wearing during the finals because if it would be anything like last night, we would be in for a treat as he had...

0

177.016 - 199.7

Whatever this was around his neck, it was some giant look like fur coat and what do you even call that? I don't know. A neck brace? What is that? That was before the game and then he had the same get up on post game at the press conference. He had that at the press conference? And he was answering questions with that around his neck. What is it?

0

199.72 - 221.424

For people that are listening on the radio, it's this giant fur. furry neck brace that the fur goes up all the way to his nose. It's got a little bit of Joe Namath look to it. And it's got like a belt buckle on the front of it. And as he was answering questions, he was trying to push it down with his chin to get his mouth exposed.

221.744 - 230.614

And then you were just seeing the fur flying when he was answering the questions with his breath coming out of his mouth. It was insanity.

Chapter 3: What were the controversial calls made by officials during the game?

230.594 - 247.873

He's a good-looking guy. Why is he covering his face? Yeah, I'm not sure. Maybe he's afraid to get the flu or something. Maybe he's using it as a face guard or something. Is that buckle or clasp? Is that like diamonds, do you think? Oh, 100%. I would think. I couldn't tell when I saw it. It's something flashy. Yeah. Wow.

0

Chapter 4: How did Mike Brown react to the officiating during the game?

247.973 - 265.88

Did it say 100 or something or something? I got to take a closer look. Man, that is unbelievable. I mean, that's almost as bad as, well, that doesn't look that bad. But did you see what P.K. Subban was wearing over the weekend? You just tell me about it. I missed this Saturday. He had these ginormous MC Hammer pants on. I don't know what that was.

0

Chapter 5: What did the Knicks' final possessions look like?

265.92 - 289.287

Yeah. Are the MC Hammer pants back? I don't know. I feel like I've seen the big, like, parachute-looking pants. I've seen Francisco Lindor wear, maybe not parachute pants, but, like, the really wide-looking jeans. Jerry wears pants like that. Jerry wears those big pants. Was this it, or is this a different one? Right here. I see Messier there. Oh, no, those are Christmas trees.

0

289.327 - 309.876

That couldn't have been from... He looks like... That's the pink suit he wore next to Messier. Yeah, but those are some wide pants there as well. Yeah, that was like... It's like me next to Nate Burleson. You know what I'm saying? They'd always wore those colorful outfits. When Jerry wears those big black golf pants on a windy day, you could attach a rope to him and go parasailing. Ha ha ha!

0

310.295 - 338.871

They are flapping in the wind. It's so hard not to laugh. He's up there on the tee box in his pants. F you. That's so true. So true, man. Speaking of clothes, man. What now? Oh, man. Did you see what C-Mac was wearing yesterday? Oh, here we go. Are you going to call it a smock again? I don't know. It wasn't a smock. It looked like a TV test pattern, which is what it looked like.

0

339.373 - 357.66

You know what the TV test patterns are? Sure, of course, yeah. They calibrate the video and the contrast and the brightness and everything. Yeah, Al and I, we see it every morning on our studio feed here for CBS Sports Network. Yes, exactly. So they're always testing. I mean, that was the ginormous shirt that he was wearing yesterday. I thought when I turned it on, it was a TV test pattern.

0

358.221 - 371.493

Let's see. I see a lot of Craig. Is this a Knicks shirt that he was wearing? I don't know. Did you see it? I mean, yesterday, it looks like he was wearing a Knicks hoodie. What is this? So you're talking about two days ago, maybe?

Chapter 6: How does SGA's performance impact the game dynamics?

372.354 - 395.394

Maybe it was two days ago. This one here. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. All right. Yeah, I think that was a couple days ago. It was. Okay. Can you see this one here? It's like a plaid. It's a plaid button down. How many colors are in that? Five to six. That's the spectrum right there. He's got the white t-shirt under unbuttoned. You know, he's all right. But I thought it was like a TV test pattern.

0

395.414 - 419.479

Yeah, I bet you did. And I saw, was it yesterday, Craig? They put out a picture. They were wondering if C-Mac shaves his arms. Yeah, it looked like he did. Yeah, maybe. I know Marash does that. He's big on getting rid of the body hair. I will say this. I caught them for probably about half an hour yesterday. And that poor C-Mac, he is under assault. He is just under assault. He is.

0

419.459 - 434.673

Yeah, I didn't hear that part yesterday. They were talking sports yesterday when I was listening to them. So what do you mean? What was he getting on them for? Everything. Scoring games at home, writing notes to his kids. It was very funny. And C-Mac really didn't have any answer for it.

0

Chapter 7: What was the reaction to player outfits during the post-game?

434.853 - 454.893

And then he was trying to guilt Craig into feeling bad. Talked about his dad passing away and the whole thing. He was doing everything he could to deflect. But, I mean, the missiles were incoming. He's like Iran. You know what I'm saying? Coming in left and right. You bring up the dad pass in a way. You're reaching for the life vest there. Yeah, at that point.

0

454.933 - 472.555

I mean, the next step is just leaving the studio. You know? That was DEFCON whatever 2. We're playing that Summers audio that Jerry brought in here yesterday. Oh, my God. I didn't know what to do with that. I never heard you like that. Yeah, you were at a loss for words. It really affected me. I could hear it. I wasn't watching. I was listening. I could hear it. We're having such a good show.

0

472.595 - 493.795

Then Jerry brings that in. All of a sudden, he goes into the tank over here. Well, I mean, it just sounded sad. Depressing. Yeah, like really, really sad. Because, I mean, we all worked with him and know Steve for a long time. And even when he was in here just not that long ago, he was energetic and sounded like Steve to me. He did not sound like Steve in those clips. Yeah.

0

493.835 - 511.728

He's talking about Joan Rivers going to the dentist and dying. Mm-hmm. Oh, boy. Yeah, it was heavy. Yeah, it was. Yeah, that's Steve. All right. All right. All right. All right, in any event, the Knicks will now go west as part of a five-game road trip. It begins in Denver tomorrow night.

0

511.748 - 532.542

They'll also see the Lakers, Clippers, Jazz on that trip, and then head back east to wrap it up against the Pacers next Friday night. We've got the Nets and the Heat on the fan tonight. 720 coverage, FM only beginning at 745 on Rutgers basketball. It's the AM dial, Jerry Recco on the call for the Scarlet Knights playing against Michigan State in their penultimate regular season game.
