Chapter 1: What kind of fan mail does Boomer receive?
You know, Jerry, how much we love our listeners and our viewers on the CBS Sports Network. Well, you know, last week, with all the moving going on around here the last couple of three, four weeks, and you missed some of this stuff because you were out doing your Rutgers stuff. I mean, a number of people sent us a bunch of great things. So first, I want to say thank you to... Gary Lowe.
Gary is the one who sent us this Herb Brooks. Oh, cool. He's from Lowe's Sports, and he also sent all the guys that were on air these USA pullovers. So these are pretty cool. So, Gary, thanks for the warm-up show.
Yeah, I didn't get one. Did you get one, Al? No, we start at 5 a.m.
So I'm sure Gary's listening right now because he's a huge listener. What size are you, Al?
Chapter 2: Who is Gary Lowe and what did he send?
Small? Probably medium. Oh, you're a medium? Yeah. And what size are you? Large. I'm sure Gary would have said you're a medium and a large.
And then Al Cintron on the overnight. Gordon Dahmer on the overnight. Keith McPherson on the overnight.
What about you?
I am not an on-air person.
You're talking right now, though. You talk a lot. For not being on-air, you end up getting involved quite a bit.
So he was responsible for the statue as well?
Yeah, yeah. He sent a bunch of stuff. He's been involved with the 1980 Olympics and has a lot of licenses with them and everything else. It was great. And then also, he also sent me this, too. Remember we were talking about the Mike Ditka sweater we loved? So he also sent this. Look at this. This is the USA hockey sweater.
Hmm.
That is neat. That looks like a throwback. That is a throwback.

Chapter 3: What memories does Boomer share about Club Bene?
I think I am. How is it spelled? It's B-E-N-E. Yeah, I would say that's probably about right.
It's Ron Del Benet. Okay. So back in the day, I mean, this is what a dweeb I was because I did love this radio station growing up. You're still a little bit of a dweeb. True. That is fair. When I started driving, the I Miss in the Morning show did a live show at the Club Binet that I went to. And for me, it was like one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
Now, that place has since been knocked down, but that was like ā I don't know if it would be like ā it wasn't as ā Well, for me, it would be like going to do something at OBI South over on Oak Beach Island.
That would be like ā Like a nightclub. Yes, the greatest nightclub of all time. Now, this place, yes, Eddie?
I saw John Valvey there in the late 80s.
Who?
John Valvey. John Valvey? He's a comedian, kind of, you know, did songs and stuff, right?
Yeah, he's a classical pianist, but he sings all dirty songs. Oh, right up your alley. Oh, you probably love him, Al. Howard Stern did live shows at Club Binet back in the day.
I believe it. That's what he was just saying.

Chapter 4: How did the Club Bene influence local radio shows?
That's the best thing about it.
So that has been the weirdest thing for me with everything going on here, and especially now with the move upstairs. For anybody that doesn't know, and why would you, we're the only thing going on on this floor in this building. So when I come in now, it's nice to see Sean.
Evan has been showing up like 7.30, but because of his back, he disappears and goes lays on his back so that he gets some relief that way. So I don't see him. Sean shows up at 9 o'clock. Tiki sneaks in but goes in his own little area. There is like no sign of human life out there until Cap comes in. And it is the quietest. In one way, it's very peaceful. You get your work done.
There's a lot going on. It's one of the best places ever to work because nobody's here.
It is, yes, but when you think about how alive it was, and again, you go upstairs, there's a million people up there, but because we're down here, it is very, you know, you're in here, you and G are yapping for four hours together, and you've got those two. I'm out there alone for four hours, essentially, every morning. It's weird. Very different than what it used to be.
Well, that's because the Infinity Broadcast Network is no longer. It's that. That's the other part of it. Like a lot of people that listen to our shows here and know that there are certain people that are no longer here, whether it be BT or Sal or Big Zoo or something like that. You know, there were so many changes that went on here behind the scenes with the Infinity Broadcast Network.
All those jobs were lost. And there's only so many spots on this radio station. And when that part of it was still there, like Zach Gelb was there. Oh, for sure. Maggie was over there with Perloff. And E.J. Stewart was there, board op and producer. I mean, you had a lot of different people doing a lot of different things.
And then when things opened up here for like a fill-in for a couple days or whatever, they were able to pick up a few extra shifts. But once that infinity broadcasts,
aspect of this building and this radio companies you know went away those people went away with them yeah which is terrible and that infinity turned into odyssey sports radio and and all of that so anyhow just it's been a lot different around here for sure and uh well we're still getting not you know free still getting free stuff exactly right all right when we come back i know silo might be a little bit rushed because we kept them in here last hour

Chapter 5: What was the significance of the I Miss in the Morning show?
I mean, I do what he does every day. Oh, I see what you're doing now. There's a lot of tape cutting involved now. Like I said, Jerry, you're essential. You've got to be ready. You're essential.
Here's the thing, Jerry, no excuses.
Right, exactly. I disagree. I'm just saying he might be a little rushed, but he will be in and join us in just a moment. Don't go away.
