Chapter 1: What happened to Bo Nix and how does it impact the Broncos?
We saw something incredible happen this regular season when Phillip Rivers came back to the Indianapolis Colts and played in a few games and was out there and doing amazing things at his age. So you see this situation with the Denver Broncos hosting an AFC championship game. Of course, they have to go to their backup, Jared Stidham, now that Bo Nix is injured.
Could we see something wild like we saw with Phillip Rivers joining the Colts with the Broncos? Do the NFL rules prohibit something like that?
No, they limit the amount of free agents you can sign during the playoffs. I think you can only do... I think you only had two players in free agency during the playoffs. You obviously can't make any trades or any of that stuff. You can still take a guy off of a practice squad, I believe, but you can only do a limited amount. So...
Are you asking me, could the Broncos call up Drew Brees and see if he wants to run Sean Payton's offense in the playoff game?
Hypothetically, yes. They could do that. Wow. Now, I don't think they will. They ended up signing Ben DiNucci, who I guess was on their practice squad a few years ago and was out of the league this year.
Well, that's what I'm saying. So they could sign a guy like that.

Chapter 2: Can the Broncos sign a veteran QB during the playoffs?
Yes. But I believe during the week of a game, I think they can only do two such moves like that.
Now, do you think Sean Payton is crazy enough to make some phone calls around the league because of what happened with Phillip Rivers and thinking... For what? What do you mean, for what? To start this week against the New England Patriots.
I think Ben DiNucci is one of those decisions he's already made. Yeah, but I mean, Ben... Right. I mean, like, you can't trade for anybody. You... Are you asking me? Retired guys. Yeah, like Drew Brees. Yeah. But is he crazy enough to do something like that? I wouldn't be surprised if you told me that they made a phone call to Drew Brees.
That's why I put out yesterday, is Phillip Rivers available? Well, yeah. I mean, he's not, though, right? Well, I guess he would be considered Colts property until the season is over. Right.
Chapter 3: What are the limitations on signing players during the playoffs?
Because the Colts didn't cut him or release him. It's just that his contract's up, and he would be an unrestricted free agent going into next season. So Phillip Rivers would be out of the mix because he's basically a Colt player.
So it would have to be a guy who was not on a roster.
It would have to be like Drew Brees.
Yeah, Ryan Tannehill, he wasn't on the roster, right? Someone like that? Someone like that, yes.
Yeah, I don't know what Ryan Tannehill's been doing. I was surprised he didn't play this year.
Yeah, I don't know what he's been doing either. Obviously, I didn't know what Phillip Rivers was really doing. I knew he was coaching high school. I didn't realize it was the same offense. I didn't realize he kept himself in shape the way he did. So maybe there is some crazy story out there.
Well, I've seen Drew Brees do some games.

Chapter 4: Could Drew Brees realistically play for the Broncos?
It looks like he's in good shape. I don't know if he wants to go out on the football field to play against the Patriots in an AFC championship game. I think Ben DiNucci, as... Meaningless as that sounds, that's the move they've made.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, they needed a body, basically, right? Well, yeah. I mean, I... And you remember, I think Phillip Rivers, when he got there, I think he practiced at least for a week or something, and then they finally threw him in there?
I mean, I think, well, he started that week that they signed him. Oh, they did? Okay. Yeah.
Chapter 5: Who did the Broncos actually sign as their backup QB?
Yeah, no, it wasn't he didn't stand on the sidelines. He started that week.
I mean... I guess, again, first of all, the fact that they came out when Sean Payton came out and said what he said about Bo Nix already having surgery. So that means he is flying to Birmingham as we speak.
Yeah.
Because he's going to have surgery tomorrow morning. Yeah. Which is crazy. I don't know how they determined. I mean, I don't know which bone it was broken or is broken, but, man, that's a quick turnaround.
Now, prior to this Philip Rivers story, something like this would have been unfathomable. We never would have even thought that it was a possibility that someone in their 40s could come out of retirement and play in a football game the same week that he was signed. But now that that's happened, it makes you think. I say bring back Jay Cutler. I don't know.
I think Jay's, I don't know if Jay's keeping himself in shape. You know, listen, man, we just need four quarters of like, you know.

Chapter 6: How does the Phillip Rivers situation influence the Broncos' decision-making?
Last time I saw Jay was on a body cam video, so I'm not so sure if he's ready to go. Where is Jake Plummer? He's got to be 60 now, Jake Plummer. You think so? He's got to be close, 57, somewhere in there. Cam Newton was pissed off that he didn't get a phone call from the Colts. Yeah, they ain't calling Cam Newton, I can tell you that. 51 for Jake Plummer, so not quite 60. Yeah, 51 years old.
I remember he was a big deal at Arizona State when I was playing for the Cardinals.
Well, of course. I mean, is there anybody else we're missing? Cam, Ryan Tannehill. Can't be Tom Brady now that he's got a stake in the Raiders. Can't be him. Drew Brees, obvious. He's the obvious one. I asked AI who has quarterbacked under Sean Payton. Yeah. Teddy Bridgewater. Yeah, he's on a team though, right? Yep. Jameis. On a team.
Andy Dalton. On a team. Yeah. Derek Carr. Oh, there's a guy.
Tony Romo. Oh, God. Tony Romo.
Wow. Yeah, with the Cowboys, right? Yes. Who else? Vinny Testaverde.
Vinny looks great. Vinny always looks great. Vinny looks great. That would be something. Zach Wilson. Yeah, on a team, though. Man, it's too bad Zach wasn't the backup there. Wouldn't that be... How did Zach Wilson play for Sean Payton? He was there in Denver last year. Oh, that's right. He was there last year, yeah. Yeah.
So imagine if he had in one AFC championship game Zach Wilson and the other Sam Darnold. Oh, that would have been unbelievable. That would have been great. Yeah. But not happening. Man, the Derek Carr one. I mean, that's an interesting one. Any test of hurt he comes out and plays? I mean, at this point, for entertainment's sake, you know? Yes. Why not? Let's go to Frank at Deer Park.
What's going on, Frank? Hey, good morning, guys. I had an interesting thought. Isn't technically Aaron Rodgers considered a free agent since he had a one-year deal?
