We are heading into full steam ahead championship weekend with one of the oddest and most unlikely stories at quarterback, Jared Stidham, who makes the start. Now, I don't know about this, but these online conspiracy theories about things that went on, you know what I saw yesterday?
That because Bo Nix looked fine after the game, that it was like an Edwin Diaz celebration thing where he hurt his ankle. Could there be any truth to that? Because he looked fine when he took a knee. He looked fine in a previous play, and then all of a sudden his ankle's broken?
So I went back. Tiki and I were looking at the plays yesterday. Yeah. And Tiki noticed that after the run to the left side, I think the next play was a pass down the field that might have ended up in a pass interference call. And then after that came the taking the knee. And you could see when he was throwing the ball down the field, he looked like he couldn't plant.

much but maybe the the defender fell on his ankles what happened it looked like yeah and it's a it wasn't that cold out there but if it's cold and you got the adrenaline going and maybe you don't know uh how hurt you really are but it just was surprising to have such a serious injury and the guy was just sort of walking around did a post-game interview you know it's just like business as usual well this is going to be the seventh time in in the history of the nfl that a quarterback is going to make his first start in the playoffs
And only one of those previous six won games as the guy who started in the playoffs. And, of course, that's the great Frank Reich.
Is he in the mix with the Buffalo job or not? Doesn't sound like it. I don't think so. No. What about the Eagles offensive coordinator?
I don't think so. You don't think so. It's hard to say. You're asking me questions that I kind of know answers to, but I can't really... I'm kind of like, there may be something else. I don't know. There may be something else. Hmm. Hmm, hmm, hmm. I don't know. He's always talking to everybody. Of course he's talking to everybody. And he's happy what he's doing now, which is he's retired.
He's loving life down in Carolina.
Yeah, don't you just chill now? I mean, the fact that he ended up taking that Stanford job, I mean, we thought that was nuts.
He said it was the greatest thing he's ever done. He said he had so much fun doing it. Greatest thing he's ever done? Well, I mean, as a coach. Oh, okay. Because he really felt like he impacted the team in a positive way. And really, the big game for them is to beat California, and they did that.

And the one thing that the Patriots do give up a lot... Or sacks, as we saw last week against Houston. That's right. And their offensive line has been shaky.
And I don't necessarily know that their starting left tackle, rookie Will Campbell, who's a great player, was off to a great start and then got hurt in the middle of the season. He's really had two rough games. Now, he's played against two great pass rushers in Daniil Hunter and Khalil Mack. So he's, you know, this is like when you talk about strength of schedule.
and you get to this point of the season, and you start seeing better teams with better players, he's probably the one guy who's had the most difficulty in the first two playoff games, given who he's had to play against.
So the spread now this morning on FanDuel Sportsbook, Patriots minus four and a half traveling to Denver, so it's down a point. A lot of people betting on Denver.
Yeah, that's what it would have to be. So if it started at five and a half and it's down to four and a half, that's right.

Seahawks minus two and a half hosting the Rams. So, I mean, it is, I really hope, like the most exciting thing for me, would for B to ā for Jared Stidham to have this unbelievable game and then go into the Super Bowl and be like the story. That would be the most exciting thing that could happen.

You know, so that would be ā they'd be good stories either way. I just ā I don't know. The Patriots tend to want to run the football, and that's the thing that would concern me if I were the Broncos.
They're going to run the football. It's going to be a lot of play action, and it's going to be loud there. It's not easy to play there, as Josh Allen found out last week. But they still scored 30 points despite turning the ball over five times.
There was a point in that game where I didn't think the Broncos defense was going to stop that Bills offense ever again.
You know that one pass that Josh had on third down? He was throwing it to Khalil Shakir to his right. It was going to be a wide receiver screen. And he had to negotiate a guy that was coming at him. And he threw it at the feet of Shakir. And it looked like Shakir caught it and ran it in for a touchdown, but the ball hit the ground. If he hits him in the chest, that may be a touchdown.
If he hits Dawson Knox in the chest, it may be a touchdown. I mean, he wasn't on his game totally, but he still was, you know, obviously the Superman weapon that he always is to keep his team not only in the game, but almost single-handedly help win the game.
