Chapter 1: What are the current quarterback options for the Jets?
We opened up talking about the opportunities out there, or lack thereof, with the Jets and their quarterback situation, if you want to talk about that. And by the way, I'm saying it ever since we floated it. I floated it, and then Boomer was like, you know, it's not a crazy thought. I really do think that Deshaun Watson's going to be a real candidate to be the Jets quarterback. And this is not...
This is not based on anything that Frank Reich told Boomer and told me because prior to Frank Reich taking this job, we had this conversation about Deshaun Watson. And the reason why is sort of in the same way. Now, I would not bring Deshaun Watson in, but the reason why I'm connecting these dots and the logic is...
I'm applying the same logic to Deshaun Watson that I was applying to John Gruden, which is that you could resurrect somebody's career who was great in this place because there's so few teams that are going to give you a shot and the Jets are desperate. There's a lot of teams out there like, I'm not taking a chance on Deshaun Watson.
I don't want to deal with that on top of the injuries and everything else. I just don't want to deal with it. But the Jets are like, you know... If they reach out, I mean, by the way, he went to the Browns, for God's sake, so he's gone to bad organizations before.
But if they reach out and say, hey, we're the place that you're going to do this, we believe in you, they might be the only team or one of a handful of teams that would hand him the starting job.
Yeah, I was trying to think of other teams that would either go down this road, and I really, I don't know if there's anybody desperate enough, and I would assume that he would be on the list, much like, you know, Jacoby Brissett, Carson Wentz, you know, Is Kyler Murray on a list, if he can acquire him?

Chapter 2: Why is Deshaun Watson a candidate for the Jets quarterback position?
No, you told me that he's too small. I'm just telling you, I don't think so. That's just my perspective, just knowing what I know about the type of quarterback that Frank wants and if he has any impact on who they're going to bring in. Do they keep Tyrod Taylor? I mean...
These are all the discussions that every Jet fan from now until the draft are going to have, and now all the way through the beginning of the season. They'll settle in on a couple guys eventually, just like the Giants did last year. So the Giants brought in Russell Wilson, and they brought in Jameis Winston, and they drafted Jackson Dart.
So I think that's kind of the model that you want, bringing two veteran guys that you can have there that know the offense. Is Andy Dalton one of those guys? Because he was with Frank, I think, down in Carolina, threw 58 balls in one game. I don't know. I'm assuming that Andy probably still thinks of himself as a starter. We all do.
It's very rarely do you hear a guy say, yeah, I'll take the backup spot.
Yeah, and Russell Wilson, I don't think ā I can't see him getting offered a starting job, maybe coming in and competing.
But, I mean, after the way he played last year and he said he had the injury, but I just ā I mean, at the time, and I'm going to stick to it, I just don't think ā I think the days of him being a starter or a team calling him and saying, I want you to be our starter are over.
Well, the other reason why I would say that that is not in line with the Jets is because where was Darren Muji before he came here?
Well, Denver, yeah. And then the Russell Wilson Denver tenure was that was filled with drama. Yeah. And, you know, I heard Alan Jerry talking about the Deshaun Watson stuff.
And if he came here, you know, people would be yelling and screaming for a little bit about the the massage, you know, accusations, all the stuff and more than accusations, I guess, because he settled with just about everybody. And they were right about how it'll be a flurry and then people will forget about it.
