Harper went 2-4 of the game-tying home run in the eighth inning. But that was really all of the offense for Team USA. But he does say the future of USA baseball is bright.

That might have been the coldest I ever was in my life. You just sit there. You don't move. Don't move, nothing. Remember, what was the year Pettit threw in the snowstorm? At Yankee Stadium. Oh, God, yeah. That was obviously the mid-90s. Don't they usually have a game in Detroit that's in the snow or something like that? It's happened a couple years ago.

After that game, you had Texas play NC State, and Charles Barkley, Dick Vitale moved in to do that game with Brian Anderson. I thought kind of cool from Barkley. We know Dickie V has had his health issues of late. Here was Barkley before the game got started. Let me tell you something. This is one of the greatest nights of my life.
I told you I've been trying to get this for 15 years to work a college basketball game with you. We finally got that done, but this is our first March Madness. It is an honor and a privilege. I want to thank you for everything you did for basketball, everything you did for cancer research, and we're going to have some fun tonight, brother. I thought that was kind of cool. That's great.
I saw a clip after that, which was very funny, where Bruce Pearl asked if Charles Barkley asked him to do some of the great Dickie V isms. And he responded with like, I really the reason I'm here is because I want to get away from the studio because there are people looking for you, Bruce. Well, he's certainly been in the crosshairs with all this NCAA stuff.
He also said, and TNT security is so cheap, they gave us the same code to all our lockers. So if you want to steal something out of Shaq's locker, you can go over to my locker and steal it too. I mean, he's just hammering Bruce Pearl for being a slippery bass. Yeah, that's funny. Well, Texas then beat NC State. You saw the highlight if you were watching on CBS Sports Network.
If you're listening, 68-66 was the final. Tremont Mark with the go-ahead shot with a second to go. Texas will play BYU next. Tonight, you've got Prairie View and Lehigh in the first game, followed by Miami of Ohio and SMU. The Islanders beat the Maple Leafs 3-1. Braden, you had power play goals from Shannon Ritchie and then Matthew Barzell with three assists in the game.
That's four out of five for the Islanders. Excuse me. Ilya Sorokin, 26 saves. Rangers, Devils coming up later tonight. I'll tell you what. Matthew Barzell was shot out of a cannon last night. He was all over the ice. He's really actually turned into a very, very good player. Really good player. I mean, you know, he's paid to be a superstar. And it took him a while to get to where he is now.
200-foot player, but man, can he skate. Oof. Oof. Oof.
