Bourbon With Friends

A Day At The Turf In Wrexham

26 Oct 2022

Description

Send us a textIn this episode of Bourbon With Friends. Paul is solo on location in Wrexham, Wales at the Turf. For those of you who have followed the FX Documentary "Welcome To Wrexham" you may recognize some of these names and places that pop up in the show. Halfway through spending the day in Wrexham, I asked Wayne, the owner of the Turf if I could set up and just record with random people coming in for the match which he graciously and enthusiastically accepted. I set down with people from Wrexham, Americans & Canadians visiting Wrexham due to the documentary. As well as Wayne the owner of the Turf who features prominently in the documentary. Wayne was so generous and hospitable he really made my first trip to Wrexham all the more special. While I didn't get to catch Rob McElhenney while he was there ( I only missed him at the Turf by 5 minutes) I did help make a video that be posted on Wrexham social media!Bourbon With Friends also has its name on the mural in the Turf now. Forever etched in the history of Wrexham now. There is really 0 bourbon or whiskey talk in this show, but I really hope you all enjoy this impromptu show from the Turf in Wrexham!A special thanks to Kira, who I met earlier in the day. She is from Seattle and helped me set up as well as was the hype woman walking around and telling everyone what I was doing there. She also features in the show and you hear all about how we met. Support the showFollow us on:www.bourbonwithfriends.comInstagram: @bwfpodcastFacebook: BWFPodcastTik tok: bwfpodcastYouTube: Bwfpodcast
