With the Indigenous population of Australia facing many barriers in healthcare, oral health is not an outlier. As disparity is faced within our First Nations communities, it is important for us as current and future clinicians to understand how we can close the gap. In this week’s episode, our guest speak Brianna Poirier expands on her background and current research in Indigenous oral health. Alongside Raeesha and Laya, Brianna explains her research including topics like methodology and where the shift in researching is leading, segueing into the implications it has for the future. This podcast consists of core messages that we as a collective must educate ourselves on and is a highly recommended listen.
