From being kicked out by her mum after secondary school to living in a group home and hostel, and eventually being given a flat, she has faced numerous challenges. Through it all, her self-belief and a childhood dream gave her the confidence to apply for her first job at Halifax. After impressing her interviewer, she was mentored and given a second chance. Hannah goes on to share how meeting another key mentor led her to a long and successful career at Barclays, where she spent 18 years working her way up the ranks. Throughout the episode, Hannah talks about the importance of showing up as your authentic self, being consistent, and dressing the part, all key factors in how others perceive and receive you. She also emphasises the importance of continuous learning and refining your skills. A passionate advocate for the Black community, Hannah recognised early in her career the power of being an ally, which ultimately led to her current role at Knight Frank as Group Head of Diversity & Inclusion.
