Scientists have come up with various theories about how our universe might end, but one of the most likely scenarios is known as the "heat death." As the universe expands, galaxies will move farther and farther apart, making it harder for stars to form, and ultimately, they'll run out of fuel. Slowly, all the stars will burn out, and everything will become dark and cold. It's like the universe gradually losing all its energy and reaching a state of maximum entropy.
