Building Success Habits

Reality vs. Perception with Donna Kunde & Londina Cruz

27 Oct 2022

Description

“Perception precedes reality." - Andy Warhol Merriam Webster’s definition of reality says “The world or the state of things as they actually exist, as opposed to an idealistic or notional idea of them.” Merriam Webster’s definition of perception says “The state of being or process of becoming aware of something through the senses.” As humans, everything we ‘know,’ perceive, and experience is perception. With our consciousness, we can only ‘know’ what we experience and perceive. We attempt to know what we conceptualize and we create what we imagine” — Consciousness Liberty When we collectively perceive experiences or measure them scientifically we call this reality. But it is not reality, it is collective perception. Collective perception is the experience of the collective (in this case humans) that we like to define as being close to the truth of “reality” or “as this actually exists.” As perceptive beings, we cannot “know” reality or absolute truth. It is an ever-elusive and shifting concept. Make sure you leave some thoughts in the comment section below. We are interested in continuing the conversation.
