Staffing For The Semi-Private Training Model

23 Jul 2020

Description

Staffing for a semi-private model is not hard. We have primarily three roles that you will need as you grow and scale to multiple locations. The first role is the fitness director role. This is a very important role in any gym. This is the person in charge of the gym and acts and thinks like the owner. His primary duty among others is the sales process. He is also the person who the clients consult for any queries they have. The fitness director helps the owner remove themselves from the operations.Next up is the program director role. This is the person in charge of workout programs and other projects in the gym including the promotional work. They are in charge of program design and events. The fitness director manages people while the program director manages the systems. The other important role in this model is the training team. These are the coaches who facilitate the workouts. In a semi-private model, they ideally get the programs from the program director or the fitness director. They ensure the client gets a great training experience in the gym. Listen in and learn more about  staffing for the semi-private model  and how to implement this staffing structure as your gym grows. Key TakeawaysWhy a fitness director is very important to any gym and what his roles are (02:21)How the fitness director thinks and acts like the owner (03:53)The roles of a programs director in the gym (04:47)The training team’s role in facilitating an amazing client experience (06:13)How to determine the ideal ratio of clients to coach in a semi-private model (08:52)Staffing plan, block scheduling and remuneration for the training team (09:36)Having a team approach so that any client can training with any coach (12:35)Incentivizing your staff to bring their best foot forward (13:18)Why you need to have job descriptions for each role on paper (21:43)Additional Resources:www.winninggym.com/workshopwww.pfmarketingsolutions.com/summitwww.PFMarketingSolutions.com/Callwww.PFMarketingSolutions.com/Automationwww.CLACourse.comwww.ProFitGPS.netMarketing Talk with Fitness Professionals Facebook Grouphttps://PFMarketingSolutions.com/Datawww.ProfitGPS.com--If you are interested in a free audit for your gym, visit http://bit.ly/free_gym_audit--You can find out more about Tim and the strategies covered in this episode by checking out our website.--Would you rather watch the video version instead?Head over to our YouTube channel to watch this episode by going here--If you don’t already have my book, get your copy FREE here.--Connect with Tim:Schedule A CallFacebookInstagramLinkedInConnect with Randy:FacebookInstagram--Subscribe to the podcast on Apple, Spotify, Google, Stitcher, YouTube or anywhere else you listen to your podcasts. If you haven't already, please rate and review the podcast on Apple Podcasts!
