Most of us who are highly sensitive didn’t have parents, teachers, or mentors in our lives who understood that our nervous system processes the world differently. Because we were misunderstood, we didn’t receive the support we needed to learn how to use our highly sensitive nature to work for us. Instead, we learned to pretend we are someone we’re not; to disallow our needs, to devalue our worth, and to hide our difference. In this episode, I’m sharing how to shift the highly sensitive shadow of people pleasing so you can show up authentically in the world to fulfill your destiny, your vocation, and your life purpose. It’s time to embrace your differences and accept the challenge of learning to lead and live your life from a place of your unique, highly sensitive strengths. “Most of us were not taught how to use our nervous system to work for us.” – Heather Dominick Show Notes: How to stop pretending Tips to stop people pleasing What is hatching How does hatching apply to being a highly sensitive leader Ways to refocus How does upbringing affect highly sensitive leaders What is the childhood trauma associated with being highly sensitive Why is individuation important “The purpose of individuation is to bring about wholeness in the individual.” – Heather Dominick Learn more about this episode of Business Miracles at https://www.businessmiracles.com/147
