Today it was the go home show to Slammiversary 2026. That is right, we are just a couple of days away from a jam packed weekend. We got WWE Night of Champions, we got TNA Slammiversary, NXT Great American Bash, AEW Forbidden Door. massive shows that are going to be taking place. I'm going to be doing my best to watch them all, as I know a lot of you guys listening here are too.
But today our focus is on Slammiversary. So there's a lot going on, first and foremost. I believe, yeah, this is the last show under that we just watched right now under the Tommy Dreamer creative umbrella and Slammiversary from there on, you know, we're going to get whatever it is that we're going to get. Right. Well, wait and see. We'll see. Wait and see what's going to happen.
So I am interested to see the difference. between what we saw here today, what we've been seeing the last couple of, you know, however long and where we're going to be headed with starting at Slammiversary. I'm wondering if we're going to make any hard pivots because as I was watching this show, I was starting to predict certain things for Slammiversary.
However, now that we got somebody new and creative, I'm wondering If my predictions are going to be off and if they're going to pivot in certain ways in order to either try something new, go a different direction, or if they're going to kind of stick through the same journey that whatever it is that, you know, Tommy Dreamer originally had planned for us for Slammiversary.
I'm very curious to see what the show is going to look like and if it falls in line with the threads that we've been seeing so far on TNA. So that's one of the things that I am going to be focusing on when I check out the show. But today, though, I will tell you this. There were a couple of segments in here that I thought were really good.
And I was even a little bit surprised because I was thinking like, okay, like I didn't really know what to expect from today's show. And I felt that after, I'm gonna say the point when we got to, I think Ziya Brookside and Harley Hudson. And from that point on to everything else, I thought was like really, really good. Especially, I can't wait till we get into the nickname as Mike Santana.

i told you guys a really fun one right there and that's the thing that was only the second portion of that promo but the thing that i enjoyed on top of the differences between both of the way that they walked us through this was that nick nemeth was kind of bragging about how you know he's had 23 great years in the business whereas mike santana had one good year and mike starts telling him like hey man
sure whatever you see that one good year but here's the deal bro like i have been fighting my entire life and he went on to talk about of course we know uh the situation that he went through with losing his father and developing uh an alcohol addiction as well as seeing his mother get abused so like really serious stuff that he was bringing up
during this and talking about the struggles with family, family life and the things he's seen. So you've got one side with Mike Santana presenting himself in that light.
And then on the other hand, you have Nick Nemeth sort of being this like bougie ex WWE superstar, because even when Mike Santana was recounting some of the things that Nick Nemeth accomplished in WWE, they did a close up of Nick Nemeth face and he was like, He was basically making, like, a cute little, like, oh, like a kissy face kind of, like, he's like, oh, yes, that's me.
Those are all my accomplishments. And I thought it was hilarious. So, like, there was such a difference, right? They're cut from a totally different cloth, man. And I think that that was my favorite, favorite part was the shift in how different their worlds are and what they do.
so i thought that they kept it really simple by just both of them saying what they're all about and saying what they think about each other but afterwards we did have ryan of course get involved he goes out there and he and nick both jump mike santana and by the time we got to the end of the show the closing segment we ended up having mike santana go out there with taking out ryan basically getting his uh getting his revenge i like this it was simple
It worked out really well. And when I think about some of the stuff that we saw earlier this week, this wasn't the strongest week in terms of we have all of these big shows. But I didn't think that when it came to championship pictures, especially for NXT and even AEW, I didn't think that they nailed it to a 10.
Because there was moments that I felt in each of those where I thought, what are we doing here today? And for example, with NXT, we had kind of a convoluted storyline that they ended up doing that didn't really work out. The action was fun on the Mark Briscoe MJF storyline, but the promos weren't there.

She really got, like, Alicia's really good at getting under people's skin, but I think more so, more than ever, today she got under my skin, where I'm hoping, one of the big payoffs that I want at Slammiversary, and whoever and whatever is planning on happening at Slammiversary, please, somehow, someway, you guys teased it today, so now you have to do it. I wanna see the spear on Alicia Edwards.
I think it's gotta happen. You think it happens, Andre?
Yeah, I think it happens, and all of this is definitely Moose's fault. Because Moose and Alicia were friends for a while, right? And Alicia was still voice of reason for the longest in this feud to kind of make everybody work together. Then, of course, Moose keeps running his mouth and making things even more personal, and he's got to bring the kids into the picture.
And when you bring somebody's family into a feud... A daughter... Yeah, her daughter. Her daughter. Yeah, now all bets are off. If Moose was just smart and just did not put the kids in between here, then Alicia wouldn't have to mouth off. But because he did, we got a hell of a great promo from Alicia.
So there was a lot that I liked about this. First and foremost, hey, there's been an alteration here in the stipulation here. So it was announced that Moose's match against Eddie Edwards would be a no surrender match. That means that the match can only end when one person's corner person throws the towel into the actual ring. a la Rocky, throw the damn towel.
Alicia Edwards will of course be in Eddie's corner and JDC, who was basically attacked by the system in his goodbye matchup, was that Bound for Glory, I believe, JDC is gonna be in the corner of Moose. So here's the deal. What is going to prevail here? Because Alicia Edwards, at the end of the day, is married to Eddie Edwards. She loves him.
