Oleksandra Naryzhna is a Ukranian architect, city planner and activist. She was a co-founder and first pro rector at the Kharkiv school of architecture, and runs the NGO Urban Reform. In this episode, Oleksandra and Alexander discusses the rebuilding of the Ukrainian towns and cities after the destruction following the ongoing russian invasion and occupation of Ukraine. They discuss approaches to urbanism and city planning, the importance of community, cooperation and grassroots involvement in planning, how to set up a vision of the future, and how to think ahead when the present is very demanding.
