The Carolina Hurricanes had plenty of chances to score, but just couldn't take advantage and ended up on the short end of a 2-1 score in Winnipeg. Kyle Conner and Nic Ehlers scored for the Jets, who took a 2-0 lead late in the second period and then held on for the win. Martin Necas' 7th goal of the season, with 51 seconds left in the 2nd period brought one goal back, but Carolina couldn't find the equalizer and saw their 4-game point streak come to a close. Antti Raanta, making his first start since giving up 8 goals against the Lightning, played well, stopping 20 of 22 shots on goal in the loss.
