I think less inspiring that one.
Yeah. I mean, I don't know who was more or less excited about talking to the general media or speaking to us. We'll hear about that coming up in a little bit. So obviously the big story is Manny officially introduced or introduced in person and with commentary for the first time since being hired a couple of days ago by the Vancouver Canucks.
And we're going to be focusing quite a bit on the NHL draft as well. Ivar Stenberg is going to join us coming up in a few moments. So we'll chat with him. And obviously, when Manny met with the media today, and I think one of the things that was very evident was how good he is at messaging. And you know what? Ivar is going to join us in a few minutes.
Let's just get to the open right away here, and then we'll bring Ivar into the conversation. The open is brought to you by FiberTech, your exclusive dealer of house of roll luxury plumbing fixtures. from Manny Malhotra after he met with the media today.
Yeah, like outside of like specific things, I do think the measured approach of both, like how like him and RJ speak, I think we're going to get a lot more functional clarity. Yeah. I've mentioned this multiple times, like in the previous group, you would leave pressers or the avails would end.
And I felt like you had more questions, whether it was them lighting fires up or having like a level of honesty that didn't help the situations. I think there's like a calculated measured approach to a lot of what Manny said today.

Chapter 3: How does Manny's communication style impact the Canucks' messaging?
You shouldn't say that. And I am aware of that. But I do think there needs to be a level of rising above all this, especially in a market where people do care about things.
And I think if you have a group that's more serious, more locked in, and I think you have people that instill that from the top down in the organization, which the Sedins would do, RJ and Manny, I think having that alignment and having that ability to take away the noise, I think would make the environment so much easier to handle for the individual players.
I am curious, too, because we have talked about... for the people that are in with Daniel Henrik Sedin, their ability to know the market is going to be an asset. And I know RJ was asked about it today, like, does it matter, all you guys being former players? And he kind of shrugged it off, but I do think, like, acknowledging the part that all of them are aware of what it is like here.
And I don't think the previous group ever really got a handle on... how dynamic this market can be, both positive and negative. Like, things can swing very fast for you from the fans, and things can turn ugly for you from the media, of course.
But kind of knowing how to harness all of that energy or power, I do think this group might be better equipped for that reality of knowing, okay, what's important? What comes through to the locker room, to the organization? How do we react to things? I do think this group, far better situated.
because there's previous experience, obviously for Manny as a player, all of them as players, but now having also worked for Manny, like in the lower mainland and in Abbotsford and for Daniel and Henrik Sedin, their tenure as development coaches and in all their roles, I think hopefully they have a handle on that.
So little things both on the ice and off the ice or for the players and for the executive staff, they aren't distracted.
Yeah.
No, and I think obviously that's going to be a huge part of it. And we're going to talk to Manny coming up in the next segment. We'll delve into this a bit more. We have Landon Ferraro joining us as well. We'll talk about all this with him too. We are going to be joined by Ivar Stenberg at some point in this segment.
