Chapter 2: How is the Canucks' management preparing for the upcoming draft?
What's going on, Drance? Hey, Jamie. Hello. Good morning. Or I guess afternoon. Afternoon.
Wow.
By like three minutes. That's when our show starts. Yeah.
Chapter 3: What insights did Ryan Johnson provide during his press conference?
Yeah. Not in the morning. You ever go on a hike and realize that... What? No, I've been on a hike. Never mind. Go ahead. Like every now and then? Not a hike. I'm more of a walk guy.
Chapter 4: What factors influence the Canucks' decision to keep or trade Hronek?
Yeah. Yeah. A walk, but like- In the forest. Yeah. Up. Yeah. You're losing me a little bit here. I think a hike implies elevation gain. Elevation gain. Yeah.
Chapter 5: How do recent trades affect the Canucks' draft strategy?
Probably. For me, like there's a difference. Like if I'm going for a walk at-
pacific spirit yes i'm going for a walk yeah that's not a hike that's not a walk that's what i'm saying that's more my thing and it's still lovely beautiful i really enjoy it yeah but a hike implies elevation gain okay right then i'm against hikes apparently i'm not a big fan of elevation game well anyway when you go for a hike and you walk by people yeah and everyone just tells you what time of day it is you ever notice this
Everyone's like morning, morning, morning, morning. And then afternoon, afternoon, afternoon. And it's just like, everyone's like a walking. I don't know if it's public service or what for it. You know, they're just being friendly. Okay.
Chapter 6: What are the implications of the Canucks' third overall pick?
But like, oh, now I get it. Like friendly like a sundial. I don't know. Indeed. All right. We got a lot coming up on the show today. We're going to get to the crossover in just a minute here. We didn't do it yesterday, of course, because of the Canada-Switzerland game. Sam Cosentino from Sportsnet will join us at one.
We will wrap up our official Canucks Talk mock draft with Sam starting from pick 25.
Chapter 7: Who are the top prospects in the upcoming NHL draft?
And I think we can go ahead and just include pick 33 first. for the Canucks at the start of round two with Sam as well. So we'll finish with some Canucks content in that segment. And of course, Ryan Johnson spoke to the media today. We will play that audio at some point and dig into it.
But right now, as mentioned, let's go to the crossover with Don Taylor and Rick Dolly while it's brought to you. By Passant Motors, bright deals and better drives ahead at Passant Motors. Chapter 8: What impact will Sam Cosentino's mock draft have on the Canucks' decisions?
They join us every week for the crossover. What's going on, guys?
Gentlemen, I can't remember a busier June than this one. I know the draft always goes on, but you combine that with all the trades we've seen pre-draft in the National Hockey League and the World Cup. It's been crazy. And the BC Lions set up in the Okanagan. There's been a whole lot going on. We're busy. Yep.
There's a lot to do, a lot to talk about, a lot to watch. It's been great around the city, first of all. And I mean, in the games on TV, the games have been pretty amazing, too, at the World Cup. So I know there's a lot of skepticism, and I was certainly there about this event going into it. But it's hard not to get sucked in once it's actually happening and the games are here.
I couldn't have been more wrong. I always go for them. I get my steps in after every show downtown. I love walking around one of the most beautiful cities in the world. You look at the setup on Granville Mall and the bars extending out into the street. I'm just thinking, and all the flags and pageantry. Man, is this thing going to take off? Man, was I wrong. It's just been absolutely fabulous.
Yesterday, you couldn't move on Granville.
The downtown area is just phenomenal. Other than the parking prices, everything else has been great. You got caught, right? You got caught with a large parking bill. You and I pay $18 to park. No, Donnie and I pay $18 every day to park. But on game days, they jack it up to $63, which is, you know, I'd like to get my hands on that guy, but I can't.
Is it one guy?
That parking lot guy.
The price gouger.
