Dr Libby Sampey talks to Dr Marilena Giannoudi about managing life at work as a Foundation Year One doctor. They begin by considering how to prepare - exploring expenses and membership fees - before moving on to discuss supervisors and leave. Dr Marilena Giannoudi shares some useful guidance about staying on top of your portfolio, and gives advice on the benefits of taking part in social events. Dr Libby Sampey is a Foundation Year Doctor currently exploring a career in Palliative Care. She has an interest in medical teaching and alongside being a member of RCPE’s Trainees and Members’ Committee is the junior regional representative for the British Geriatrics Society. Dr Marilena Giannoudi is a Cardiology Registrar based in Leeds.
