Firas Rahhal MD is a vitreo-retinal surgeon in Los Angeles who has a deep expertise in clinical trials, particularly for posterior segment disease. Like many of us, he used to lend his expertise to investment firms as they sought to invest in the ophthalmology space. More than a decade ago he realized that instead of giving away such precious knowledge for an hourly rate, it was better to become the investor and ExSight Ventures VC fund was created.
