On 26 August 2025, the UN General Assembly decided to establish the Independent International Scientific Panel on AI and the Global Dialogue on AI Governance. Two weeks prior to this, we had a chance to speak with Amandeep Gill, UN Under-Secretary-General and Special Envoy for Digital and Emerging Technologies.
