Host Brian Wesolowski starts off chatting with Gautam Hans – our Policy Counsel and Director, CDT-SF – the author of a recent paper on the privacy and security of government data mandates for companies breaking through the burgeoning "on-demand economy." Then Brian sits down with Rita Cant – our free expression fellow – to to discuss that murky line between professional conduct and personal capacity, in the context of the recent Backpage.com vs. "Sheriff" Dart case. They unwrap the liability protections for website hosting user-generated content, as well as a host of other issues underlying the case and it's impact.
