In today’s Chai Time, we talk to TV actress, Radio personality and Social worker Azra Mansoor from Pakistan. Azra Mansoor has played memorable roles in famous Pakistani TV Dramas like Uncle Urfi, Kaghaz Ke Phool, Ankahi, Teesri Manzil, Parchhaiyan, Tabeer and many more. During the decades of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, these dramas and teleplays on PTV were considered as the best in the South Asian subcontinent and were popular in both India and Pakistan. She has also produced TV darams and most recently she acted in Daastaan and will be seen in upcoming drama Tere Pyaar Ke Bharose. Azra Mansoor has done radio extensively and she is currently a radio host on Apna Karachi 107 FM and hosts a two hour show that deals with news, current affairs, social issues and interviews. She is also very active as a social worker and is involved with number of different organizations and schools. She helped setup a school in Machchar Colony (slum area of Karachi) where now more than 900 students get education. She is also involved with vocational school for blind and also volunteers her time at the kidney center. She also writes poetry and prose. In today’s Chaitime we talk to Azra about her life and work.
