He had an illustrious career spanning 40 years and during this time he sung more than 12000 songs in Urdu,Hindi,Konkani, Bhojpuri, Oriya, Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Sindhi, Kannada, Gujarati, Telugu, Maghi, Maithili and Assamese.
