48 - Lucette Romy: No Greater Grief.

Today on the podcast Jody speaks with Lucette Romy about the death of her baby boy Dash. Lucette birthed Dash at home and the birth was beautiful and without complications. However, six hours after his birth Dash's colour had not improved and after checking with their birth keeper and then their GP they finally made the decision to call paramedics. Unfortunately Dash did not survive. His body was sent away for an autopsy and Lucette describes how this was one of the hardest things for her to reconcile but how the results of the autopsy helped give her answers to the questions that had been plaguing her.Lucette talks to Jody about how Dash's passing has impacted her relationships with friends and how difficult it has been to continue living in the Northern Rivers surrounded by families with young children. She describes how challenging it has been to get back into her body after the horrible events that occured on that day and that how she still feels easily triggered by day to day events.Connecting with other women who have experienced the death of a child has been incredibly soothing for Lucette and her partner Tom.
