Growing up with a covert passive aggressive narcissistic mom... She confuses your mind so deeply that sometimes you don't even recognize the depth of the toxicity until you break free. The overwhelming sense of responsibility to take care of her, not hurt her feelings, keep her happy...all things you were taught at a very young age. Confusing because you have an inherent desire to love and trust your mom. But when your mom is a narcissist, her actions never match her words.  The narcissistic mother has distinctive patterns and weapons that she uses. Weapons that have been specifically crafted for you, by the person who knows you best. All of this done to keep you exactly where she wants you: fully dependent upon her. *Instilling fear *Making you doubt yourself *Isolating you *Sabotoging your life  *Diminishing your self-worth *Crazy making *Twisting reality and the truth This, is a glimpse into my story....   About me: Just an imperfect mom of 5 and survivor of the emotional abuse and manipulation of my covert passive aggressive/borderline personality disorder mother and ass hole of a dad with narcisistic tendencies. Yes friends, I won the toxic family jackpot, both parents and bonus, one step-parent are out of control toxic. I finally woke up one day, realized my worth, stopped the damaging cycle and went no contact with all of them. When I did though, I found that the societal norms associated with going no contact with toxic family members were villifying. I spent the beginning of my no contact journey with my toxic family feeling lost, alone and kinda like a piece of shit.  I am now on a mission to: *Normalize going no contact *Break toxic generational cycles *Raise my kids in a home completely void of the toxicity I experienced growing up *Share my story to validate YOU and let you know you are not alone Welcome all you black sheep, I am so happy you are here. It's not you, never has been and you are not alone.
