177: Heart Over Ego: Kelly's Thoughts On Political Differences

In this heartfelt episode, Kelly opens up about navigating relationships in a time of deep political division. [1:16] When Views Divide "There are some close relationships of mine that have been, I guess, torn apart in a sense because of different political views. And I hate it. It makes things very uncomfortable for everybody." [2:33] The Power in My Voice "I'm a privileged white American woman, but I do know what's going on. And I have compassion towards those who are going through the things that the laws are restricting them of." [6:41] Seeing Both Sides "If someone were watching my activity on social media, they'd probably be like, 'Is she a Democrat? Is she a Republican?' because I can understand both." [8:09] Connection Through Conversation "I want to encourage you to be able to have healthy conversations with your friends- coming from a place of respect, right? We just want to feel seen and we want to feel heard." [20:46] Beauty of Acceptance "Maybe they're only meant to be in your life for what is it?
