Morning incantation

I was interested in this field recording, taken from Kasuga Taisha Shrine in Japan featuring monks chanting their morning prayer. I’ve aimed to create a musical space that allows their prayers to serve as a background and a constant, with distinct sections complementing and reflecting the ongoing prayer and the approaching dawn.
