Nikki Fried is the current Commissioner of Agriculture, in Florida. She won the 2018 Florida Commissioner of Agriculture election, narrowly defeating state representative Matt Caldwell by less than 7,000 votes. She is also the first woman to be elected to the position.  In 2022, she goes face-to-face in a race for the Governor’s seat. She has always been an advocate for climate change and has taken many steps to improve Florida's environment. In this episode, Nikki discusses how the environment's impact on agriculture is changing. She talks about the measurable steps that have been taken to start improving the environment in Florida, such as the tree planting project and the Clean Water Act.
