Madeleine's debut novel 'The Inland Sea,' was shortlisted for the 2021 Miles Franklin Literary Award, and her second novel, 'Elegy, Southwest,' was released in February. 'Elegy, Southwest,' follows a young married couple on a road trip, coming to terms with their marriage breakdown in the shadow of environmental collapse.
