Comic Book Bears Podcast Issue #106 - With Special Guest Blue Delliquanti

21 Oct 2016

Description

CBB boys Billy Z and Steve are back from New York Comic Con!  They will be joined by Bryan next week to discuss what their experiences at that massive convention were like but before then they are thrilled to bring to their conversation cave this week the mega talented Blue Delliquanti!!! Blue is the writer and artist of O HUMAN STAR, a long-form online comic that started in 2012 and for which she has launched a Kickstarter campaign to put out a second graphic novel collection. O HUMAN STAR, which has been raved about on the show previously, presents the story of Alastair Sterling, an inventor who wakes up in a lifelike robot body 16 years after his death and must come to terms with the unfamiliar, futuristic world that is the result of his work and his legacy. Along the way he reunites with his former research partner Brendan and comes face to face with another robot whose mind is a copy of Sterling's – and is living as a teenage girl and as Brendan's daughter - and we then follow the these three coming together as an unconventional family in a not-too-distant future. Blue also lets us in on MEAL, another upcoming project of hers! Love, robots, insect cuisine and Sailor Moon reconsiderations - they are all here in this great conversation!!
