Tim Matz, aka ⁨@movelikehuman⁩ is someone I feel grateful to be able to call a friend, and someone I look to as a reminder to ground myself in my own humanity with my feet firmly on the ground.He’s a father, husband, traditional bow hunter, and a multidisciplinary movement coach whose approach brings people back to their biological roots, as you might expect when you see his instagram handle, “Move Like Human”. His mission is to demystify and simplify how we care for ourselves, help people build real world strength and capability, living healthy and pain-free. Disillusioned by seeing people get sicker and weaker as we have become more disconnected from nature and each other, Tim asks the questions: “What does it mean to be human? What does a human eat? How should a human move? How should a human relate with nature and the elements? And most importantly — what kind of community does a human need to thrive?” Integrating holistic health practices with deep bond-building, Tim teaches his community from the philosophy of REVILLAGING, because it takes a village to navigate this human life that we’ve found ourselves in.Our conversation explored deep elements of how to create communities forged on mutual values of interdependence, exploring the ideas of oneness beyond "woo-woo spiritual" conceptions of it, and discussed what a future might look like where people and planet are more closely living in harmony with one another.
